CHAUPAI SAHIB PATH
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 September 2026
This policy explains how the Chaupai Sahib Path Android app (package com.chaupai.sahib.paath) handles information. The app is provided by Gamingzo (“we”, “us”).
- There is no account or sign-in, and we do not collect your personal information.
- The text works offline. Your settings and path history stay on your phone.
- The app shows one small banner ad at the bottom of the screen, served by Google AdMob, which has its own data practices described below.
1. Information stored on your device
To work, the app saves the following on your phone only: your reading choices (script, text size, theme and similar), the dates on which you marked your path as done, where you stopped reading, and your reminder time. We do not receive or see this information. If Android backup is switched on for your phone, Android may include it in your Google backup, under Google’s terms.
2. Information we collect
None. We run no servers for the app, we do not use analytics or our own crash reporting, and we do not ask for your name, email address, location or contacts.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app displays a banner ad supplied by Google AdMob. To deliver, measure and personalise ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and use information such as your device’s advertising ID, IP address (and the approximate location that can be derived from it), device and app information, and how you interact with ads. We do not receive this information.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent using Google’s consent tool before requesting ads, and you can change your choice later under Settings → Ad privacy choices in the app. On any phone you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalisation in Android’s Settings → Google → Ads.
More information: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google Privacy Policy.
4. Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules a notification on your phone at the time you choose. On Android 13 and later it asks for permission first. The reminder is created on your device and nothing is sent to us.
5. Permissions the app uses
- Internet and network state – to load the banner ad only when you are online.
- Notifications – for the optional daily reminder.
- Receive boot completed – to set your reminder again after the phone restarts.
6. Where the text comes from
The Gurbani text and its Roman and Hindi transliterations are included in the app and come from BaniDB, the Gurbani database maintained by the Khalis Foundation. The app does not connect to BaniDB while you use it.
7. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Keeping and deleting information
Everything the app stores is on your phone. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes it. Because we hold no personal information about you, there is nothing for us to delete on our side. Ad-related data held by Google is controlled through the Google settings described above.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page, and, if the change is significant, mention it in the app’s release notes.
